What's to put on the bottle?

Now we have begun finalising our design for the front of our box, we have started to consider what will be on the other sides of the bottle. As previously said in another post, we have decided that we will have our name and logo design on both the front and back of the bottle. We decided that this would be good because customers would be able to see our brand name whether the box was facing forward or backwards. Bottles usually have a plastic film wrap around the bottle with the name and logo etc on that wraps around the whole bottle which means that the customer can see the name and logo regardless of how/where the bottle is stored. Therefore, we want to ensure that our water wouldn't be at any disadvantage simply because were not using a plastic wrap, that is why we want to have our logo on as many sides as possible.

We are having our name/logo on both the front and the back but we also have two other sides of the box that we need to design. We will have a fact on one of the sides as this will be the basis of our advertising campaign that we will further develop at a later stage. On the fourth side of the bottle, we will have the nutritional information, storage instructions, ingredients and any other mandatory details.


Nutritional information is very important to have on a water bottle, like with all food and drink products. Therefore we have looked into the nutritional information of water to get an idea of what we should put on the bottle.

Obviously, water is a very healthy product and is free from calories, fat, sugars and carbohydrates but there is a slight trace of sodium. Therefore the ingredients and nutrients are very simple and will be simple and easy to design on the bottle.

Sparkling water

Here we have found the nutrition for sparkling water, this will be placed onto the side of the bottle. 

The bar code that will be placed on each bottle as well this is an essential like the nutrition to be on the bottle. 

Here we took some pictures of the backs of bottles to see how each parts are placed on the bottle such as bar code and the nutrition. This is where we can now decide where these parts can be put on our bottles.

Here we decided to put the barcode on the left hand side as it just looked better there and the nutrition simply placed on the bottle clearly for the customer to see.
